Itinerary

Arrival day in Lima with a group meeting. After the group meeting, we visit the pre-Inca site Pachacamac which is one of the Inca temples built to honor to the god, Pachacamac. The location is close to Lima city. According to historians, Pachacamac temple was built when Incan civilization was expanding. Overnight at Lima.

After arriving in Pisco, we will take a rest and then have a briefing for the next day – a tour to Ballestas or Paracas National Park. We provide these 2 options because sometimes we have people who suffer from sea sickness. Overnight at Pisco city.

We take a private bus to Nazca with a stop at Huacachina oasis, which is a 3-4hr bus ride. After the Huacachina Oasis, we stop at a tower located in Pampas. On the way to Nazca, there are many farming areas and in the evening there is an optional Nazca planetarium visit. Optional: Sand-dune buggies and sand-boarding. Overnight at Nazca.

We tour the pre Inca cemetery in Nazca, visit Chauchilla cemetery (pre-Inca site), then have free time in Nazca. We will take a comfortable overnight bus back to Lima (10-11 hrs.) Optional: flight over the Nazca lines (110.00 USD approx., depending on the season). Overnight at Lima.

Transfer to the airport and depart for Cuzco. Upon arrival, we transfer to the hotel.

Every alleyway we enter or corner we turn brings another surprise in the form of the superbly constructed Inca walls or the more architecturally extravagant colonial churches and palaces. Cuzco, once capital of the extensive Inca Empire, has seen many changes since Francisco Pizarro’s men took the city with such apparent ease in November 1533. We also take a short drive to visit the monolithic walls of Sacsayhuaman, spectacularly set above the city. In the afternoon you may have time to explore some of the central parts of the city.

We leave Cuzco and head to the Chinchero Plateau to explore Chinchero, an important town in Inca times. The most striking remnant of this period is the massive stone wall in the main plaza which has ten trapezoidal niches. There are beautiful views overlooking the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with the Cordillera Urubamba and the snow-capped peak of Salkantay dominating the western horizon. Chinchero is believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. We then visit the salt mines of Maras, a salt-producing center that dates back all the way to pre-Inca times with over 3000 salt pools all carved into the mountain side. Discover Moray’s mysterious concentric circular terraces which, according to some scholars, was an agricultural research center. Enjoy lunch in the Sacred Valley where we can savor dishes made with locally grown produce. After a leisurely meal, we head for our hotel in the valley. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the beauty of this famous valley.

We take an approximately 90 minute train to Aguas Calientes, on the way seeing the biodiversity of flora and fauna. Once arriving to Aguas Calientes we will tour Machu Picchu. Our clients will see Machu Picchu twice because the first day we will be touring during sunset. Overnight at Aguas Calientes.

Machu Picchu Tour! This is another unforgettable day because with an in-depth explanation of the Inca people and why they built this magnificent city in the cloud forest. There is time to explore everything, such as the Sun Gate and the famous Inca bridge. Overnight at Aguas Calientes.

Tour Ollantaytambo and Chincheros today. We’ll experience yet another site in the Sacred Valley and later in the day we will return to Cuzco.

Today’s tour of Tipon takes us to magnificent water aqueducts. In these preserved ruins, we’ll see the most advanced technical system in hydraulics, all made in 15th century. And it’s only 30 minutes from Cuzco. We will have a group ceremony in this places and return to Cuzco. Overnight at Cuzco.

We tour Raqchi, another beautiful place which is located approximately 3 hours from Cuzco. There we find the biggest temple of the Inca times, dedicated to Wiracocha god. In the Andean belief, Wiracocha is the invisible god. Overnight at Cuzco.

Tour hot springs and Quillarumiyoc, a 3 hour bus ride from Cuzco. There we will have a tour plus a ceremony to Mother Earth. We do this tour with our Andean priest, who practices the Inca religion. Overnight at Cuzco.
