Itinerary

Today, we will await you with a warm welcome at the airport to take you to your hotel, the Palacio del Inka. After you’ve completed your check-in, you will have our transportation at your disposal to go for lunch. Later, we will return to the hotel to get ready for our first tour, which will commence at 2:00 p.m.

As mentioned earlier, our stops will include Qoricancha, the Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, where we will partake in an ancient ceremony of offering to Mother Earth. We will then continue through Qenqo, Pucapucara, passing by the Yahuarcocha Lake and Tambomachay, and crossing Yuncaypata until we reach our destination, Inkilltambo. During your journey, the PAD team will be waiting at checkpoints to provide medical assistance and water refills if needed.

Upon concluding our first day, our transportation will take you back to the hotel at 6:00 p.m. approx. You will have a brief rest before you can use our private transportation to go for dinner and prepare for our next day at Rainbow Mountain.

12 KM - 7.45 MILES

We will pick you up from your hotel at 4:00 a.m., which is the perfect time to begin the journey. We’ll travel by car for approximately two hours to the south, reaching the district of Cusipata in the Quispicanchi province at 5:45 a.m., where we will have breakfast. After a brief break, our next destination is just a 10-minute ride away, the FIRST BASE CONTROL of the peasant community of Tintinco and Paucarpata. From there, we’ll continue our journey for 25 minutes in our transportation to the SECOND BASE CONTROL of the peasant community of Chillihuani at 7:00 a.m. approx.From this Base Control, we will embark on a 1-hour and 40-minute running to Vinicunca Mountain (also known as the Mountain of Seven Colors), one of the most beautiful in the Cusco region. From the summit, you will enjoy an incredible view of a range of colors from green to red, earning it the name “Mountain of Seven Colors.” It’s an impressive experience to behold the mountain’s vibrant hues and the Andes Mountain Range. The mountain is almost as high as the BASE CAMP OF EVEREST, which stands at 5,036 meters above sea level. Our tour concludes at around 1:00 p.m. after finishing here we will head to Sacred Valley to the hotel Tambo del Inka to spend the night there, because tomorrow we will continue with the Chaski road. the stimated arrival time is: 5:00 p.m. approx.

13 km - 8 miles

Early in the morning (6:00 a.m.), we depart from your hotel Tambo del Inka to Ollantaytambo’s Train Station (7:00 a.m.) in order to take the exclusive train Vista Dome which is another travelling experience to the kilometer 104 of the railway (at 8:45 a.m. approx). From there, we embark on a journey through stunning landscapes, visiting archaeological sites like Chachabamba and Wiñay Wayna. (As you run we will have good travel times to be able to visit these places) After a nature-filled lunch, we reach the iconic Sun Gate (Inti Punku) with 10 – 11 km for your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu (at 2:00 p.m. approx). We can enjoy the view and the expectacular sunset this first day with the afternoon free. We will end the day by spending the night at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel, Get ready for a quality welcome and a well-deserved rest, tomorrow we will visit the WaynaPicchu and the Machu Picchu citadel.

12km - 7.45 miles

Today, we will start at 6:00 a.m. to visit Machupicchu Citadel then hike Wayna Picchu  Mountain (2 hours round trip). At the end of the tour we will headback to the hotel to refresh ourselves and pickup our stuff, we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes in the CONSETUR bus, where we will take the train (at 10:35) back to Ollantaytambo at 12:30 a.m. and then to Cusco, arriving at approximately 2:30 p.m. We will drop you off at the airport, bidding you farewell with great joy, pleased to have been able to accompany you in exploring our beautiful Perú to the fullest.
