All cancellations of confirmed reservations requested by the client or on behalf of the client are subject to a $200 per person administrative fee. Additionally, clients are subject to any cancellation fees assessed by our service providers including hotels or airlines used in the itinerary. We will exercise best efforts to book preferred hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of departure we may be forced to offer alternates. In this case the client will have the option to agree or cancel their booking within one week of the substitution, subject to $200 per person administrative fee.

Insurance

In the event that you must cancel your planned expedition, travel insurance may be your only source of reimbursement. We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance, which is available for coverage of expenses in conjunction with cancellation due to illness or accident. Baggage insurance is also recommended.

Passports and Visas

Travelling to PAD select destinations requires use of a valid passport. For most destinations, six months or more of passport validity are required from the date of entry into the country. In addition, please check with the appropriate consulate or embassy for the latest visa requirements.

Baggage

Please check with your international airline carrier for any applicable baggage restrictions and/or additional fees that may be imposed. On some internal flights, baggage weight restrictions may apply. Baggage and personal effects are at the owner’s risk throughout the trip.

Changes

Quoted trip itinerary prices are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs and taxes. PAD reserves the right to increase trip prices to adjust for any changes in the foreign exchange markets and to cover increased costs, tariffs and taxes where applicable. PAD reserves the right to change itineraries and arranged sightseeing at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond PAD control. Every effort will be made to execute itineraries as planned, but changes may occur after the final itinerary has been issued.

Complains

If a Passenger has a complaint about any of the tour arrangements he/she must bring it to the attention of the Guide or a representative of Peru Andes Discovery at the time so that they may endeavour to rectify the situation. We can only rectify problems if we are made aware of such problems. Failure to complain immediately will prejudice the Passengers right to claim compensation. Should the problem remain unsolved a complaint must be made in writing to ourselves within no more than 14 days of the completion of the holiday.

Air Transportation

PAD is not liable for mistakes or errors in airfare bookings made by independent third parties. It is up to the Traveler to verify that the correct flights are booked according to his/her issued and confirmed trip itinerary. Please note that changes or cancellations made to your airline reservations may be subject to penalties.

Limits on Responsibility

PAD contracts independent suppliers to provide accommodations, transportation, guided tours, and other services. It does not own any of the service providers used for your trip. As such, PAD is not liable for any negligent or willful act performed by such service providers or of any third person. PAD acts solely as the client’s agent, arranging hotels, transportation, and other travel services. As such, PAD exercises all reasonable care possible to ensure the Traveler’s safety and satisfaction, but, without limitation, PAD neither assumes nor bears any responsibility or liability for any damage to personal property, injury, death, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity arising in connection with the services of any transportation provider, or the actions of any third-party involved in executing travel services for the client. PAD is not responsible for damages, additional expenses, or any other losses due to cancellation, delay or other changes in air or other services, illness, weather, travel warnings or bans, any Act of God, terrorism, war, political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood or any other natural or man-made eventuality outside of its control. The Traveler is responsible for all such losses, and trip pricing is only valid for the dates of the confirmed itinerary. Incomplete, incorrect, or expired Traveler documents are the responsibility of the Traveler, and as such PAD is not responsible for any corresponding costs due to cancellation, delays, or changes. For causes of cancellation, delay, or changes beyond PAD’ control, the Traveler has the option of accepting an alternate itinerary, or receiving a refund for as much of the trip costs as PAD can recover on the Traveler’s behalf from the associated travel service providers; PAD shall have no further obligation or liability to the Traveler.

Risks: Depending on the destinations and activities the Traveler selects, certain inherent risks may be present including but not limited to hiking injuries, altitude sickness, dangers of animals, and in the case of a medical emergency, inaccessibility to medical attention and difficulty in evacuation from remote locations. Travelers assume all such risks with regard to these possibilities.

Travel Advisories/Warnings: The Traveler is responsible to become informed about the most current travel advisories and warnings by referring to the U. S. State Department’s travel website at www.travel.state.gov. If the Traveler decides to travel to the specific location(s) that the State Department has issued an active warning against, the Traveler assumes all risk of property damage, personal injury, or death that may occur as related to the issued advisory or warning.

Travelers’ Representations: The Traveler represents that neither he nor she nor anyone traveling with him or her has any physical or other condition or disability that could create a hazard to himself or herself or other members of the tour. PAD reserves the right to decline to accept anyone on a trip. PAD reserves the right to remove from the trip, at his or her sole expense, anyone whose condition is such that he or she could create a hazard to himself or others, or otherwise impact the enjoyment of other passengers on the trip.
